General Foster Care
NFI’s General Foster and Kinship Care programs provide placement and supervision for children while ensuring that their safety, permanency and well-being goals are met while in out-of-home placement.
NFI services children and families referred from Philadelphia and the surrounding counties from infancy through 21 years of age. These children are placed in qualified, approved resource or kinship homes, while NFI works diligently with the birth family towards reunification, or with the resource family on an alternative permanency option.
NFI’s exceptional case management and supervisory staff recognize the challenges and obstacles faced by children in out-of-home placement and their families, and are trained to provide competent, culturally sensitive support to all parties while on the path to permanency.
